After a consultation I paid for, Dret McHatton agreed to take my case. Dret did a great job with my daughters adoption case. He was on top of everything, very timely, and gave me no surprises. He even returned my emails on holidays. Let me start off by saying: Dret is an excellent lawyer. Very smart and excellent in his profession. Divorce is messy business, though, and his retainer is very expensive ($3,500). At the end of my divorce, with default judgement, I paid more than double that. My ex, who represented himself, tried to prolong and postpone the proceedings as much as he could, and Dret did everything he could to counter it. But it does add up at $350/hour. I recommend Dret for his knowledge and professionalism if you can afford him.
